This document is displayed in the selected interface language.
1. General Rules
1.1. These Terms of Use of the Next to you… service (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) regulate user behavior, the procedure for using functions, safety measures, restrictions, and moderation.
1.2. The Terms are an integral part of the Public Offer and are binding on all users of the Service.
1.3. Use of the Service means the user’s consent to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Public Offer.
1.4. The Service is available only to persons aged 21 and older. Persons under 21 are not allowed to register or use the Service.
2. Purpose of the Service
2.1. The Service is intended for safe discovery of people nearby, sending “knocks”, opening an internal chat by mutual consent, communication, coffee, walks, dating, and other lawful forms of social contact.
2.2. The Service does not guarantee dating, relationships, friendship, a date, a meeting, another user’s consent, or any result of communication.
2.3. The Service is not an emergency service, security service, medical, psychological, or legal consultation service.
3. Registration and Account
3.1. The user must provide a valid e-mail address, date of birth, gender, and other required information.
3.2. The user is not allowed to create an account on behalf of another person or use another person’s documents, photographs, e-mail address, or other data.
3.3. The user is responsible for keeping the password secure and for all actions performed through his/her account.
3.4. One user may have only one main account unless otherwise permitted by the administration.
3.5. The administration may request additional account verification if there are signs of rule violations, complaints, suspicion of false data, or a safety risk.
4. Geolocation, Radius, and Visibility
4.1. Geolocation is used only for the operation of nearby people discovery functions and is not intended for exact tracking of a user by other users.
4.2. The user independently selects the radius. The selected radius applies simultaneously to discovering other users and to displaying the user to other users.
4.3. If the user selects a radius of up to 1 km, he/she sees people within 1 km and is shown to other users only within his/her selected radius and their corresponding settings.
4.4. Users are not shown to each other beyond 3000 m.
4.5. The user may set an availability time. Outside the specified time, the user should not be displayed in the radar for new “knocks”, unless otherwise required by technical conditions or safety.
5. Knocks, Chats, and Meetings
5.1. A “knock” is a non-intrusive request to open communication. The recipient may accept, reject, hide the user, or file a complaint.
5.2. A chat opens only after the recipient of a “knock” gives consent or through another provided mechanism of mutual consent.
5.3. During an active meeting or active chat, the Service may restrict the search for new users in order to reduce spam and improve the quality of communication.
5.4. An active meeting automatically ends if the users move more than 100 meters away from each other, provided that this function is technically available.
5.5. A meeting may also automatically end when the limit of 23:59:59 from the start of the meeting is reached.
5.6. The user may manually end the meeting through the interface if such function is available.
6. Safety Rules for Communication and Meetings
6.1. Meet only in public, well-lit, and safe places.
6.2. Do not provide strangers with your phone number, home address, documents, bank details, passwords, confirmation codes, or other sensitive information.
6.3. Do not transfer money to unfamiliar users and do not participate in questionable financial offers.
6.4. Inform close people where you are going if you decide to meet a person from the Service.
6.5. If a user behaves aggressively, suspiciously, persistently, or violates the rules, use the “Report”, “Hide”, or “Block” functions.
6.6. In the event of a real threat to life, health, or property, contact emergency services and law enforcement authorities.
7. Prohibited Conduct
7.1. Threats, blackmail, stalking, harassment, humiliation, insults, incitement of hatred, discrimination, violence, promotion of suicide, or causing harm are prohibited.
7.2. Fake accounts, false age and name, use of another person’s documents, and misleading users are prohibited.
7.3. Spam, mass advertising, collection of contacts, scraping, automation, bots, scripts, and other actions that disrupt the normal operation of the Service are prohibited.
7.4. Fraud, requests for money transfers, investment schemes, gambling, financial pyramids, illegal trade, or offering prohibited goods and services are prohibited.
7.5. Publishing or sending illegal, pornographic, extremist, terrorist, violent, discriminatory, harmful, or otherwise prohibited content is prohibited.
7.6. Bypassing plan limits, blocks, moderation, verification, or technical restrictions of the Service is prohibited.
8. Verification
8.1. Verification is intended to increase trust and confirm the user’s age and identity.
8.2. The user must upload only his/her own documents and images.
8.3. The administration may refuse verification without disclosing all technical verification criteria if there are signs of risk, inconsistency, or suspicion of violation.
8.4. A blue or other verification mark means only that the user has passed the internal verification of the Service. It does not guarantee the user’s safety, intentions, character, or actions.
9. Plans and Limits
9.1. Available plans: Free, Plus, Pro.
9.2. Plans differ by the number of outgoing “knocks”, number of new chats/contacts, radius, and certain service advantages.
9.3. Incoming “knocks” are not limited by the plan unless otherwise required for safety, anti-spam, or protection against abuse.
9.4. The administration may restrict a user’s actions regardless of the plan in case of violation of the Terms or suspicion of a safety threat.
10. Complaints, Hiding, and Blocking
10.1. The user may hide another user from the radar if he/she does not want to see that user in the list.
10.2. The user may file a complaint against another user if there is a real reason: unwanted behavior, violation in chat, suspicion of a fake account, threats, fraud, harassment, or another violation.
10.3. False mass complaints, abuse of complaints, and attempts to harm other users are prohibited.
10.4. The administration may review complaints, restrict functions, temporarily or permanently block accounts, delete content, and transfer information to authorized authorities in cases provided by law.
11. Support Service
11.1. The user may contact support through the Service interface or by e-mail at info@nexttoyou.space.
11.2. Safety-related requests and complaints about dangerous behavior are processed with priority regardless of the plan.
11.3. The level of support may differ depending on the plan: basic support for Free, priority support for Plus, and extended support for Pro, if such functions are available in the interface.
11.4. By submitting a request, the user undertakes to provide accurate information and not to attach malicious files or third-party documents without a lawful basis.
12. Moderation
12.1. The administration may moderate profile data, chats, complaints, verification, support, plan requests, and other actions to ensure the safety and operability of the Service.
12.2. Moderation measures may include a warning, temporary restriction of functions, hiding a profile, refusal of verification, blocking an account, deletion of data, or transfer of information to competent authorities in cases provided by law.
12.3. The administration is not required to disclose all anti-fraud, moderation, and security algorithms in order not to create opportunities for bypassing protection.
13. User Responsibility
13.1. The user is responsible for his/her actions, messages, meetings, transferred data, posted content, and consequences of interaction with other users.
13.2. The user independently assesses the risks of communication and meetings. Use of the Service does not replace personal caution.
13.3. In case of violation of the Terms, the user may lose access to the account and paid functions without compensation if the violation is material or related to safety.
14. Changes to the Terms
14.1. The administration may amend the Terms. A new version is published on the website or in the Service interface.
14.2. Continued use of the Service after publication of changes means the user’s consent to the new version.
14.3. If the user does not agree with the changes, he/she must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.
